The idea of this project is to visually identify people through the most everlasting form of body art: tattoos.
I wanted to immortalise this art not in an iconic way but capturing stolen instant of day life, crossing sometimes their intimate space, discovering this hidden form of art that tells something about the life of their owners and might reveal the unsaid.
The images of tattooed boys and girls are focalised on part of their bodies caught while performing every days actions. However there’s something unnatural in their positions and everything has been staged. In this way the person became itself part of the composition and of the space, creating a set of shapes that fix all together in a unique image, with their body becoming part of the patterns of the environment in which they are.
